Saturday, April 2, 2016 - Decanted for an hour; appearance of dark purple-ruby. Has a nose of blackberry paste and syrup, smokey violets, and some cassis. Dark currants and spicy blackberries on the palate with a tad of black coffee; oak is evident with the tannins lurking in the front palate. Medium+ bodied with a medium finish.
