Wednesday, November 16, 2016 - A nearly opaque wine with lush dark fruits on the palette and a noticeable, chewy dense feel. Tannins were just right. Dare I say new world style? It reminds me of a Napa cab.

Update on night two: seems to have fallen apart overnight. The lush fruit is a bit more on the sour side now (not sure if this is acid or bitter tannins) and the alcohol feels overbearing. But for the sake of science, I'll have another glass. I won't lower my rating- this was really delicious the first night. My recommendation is to decant for 30 minutes to an hour, serve slightly chilled, and enjoy the whole bottle fresh.
