Saturday, January 26, 2019 - Opened and decanted about an hour ahead of grilled burgers. Cinnamon toast, chocolate espresso, red raspberries, and cherry oak on the nose. The palate was full, round, rich, and opulent, bringing dark blackberries, blackcurrant, creme de cassis, chocolate, coffee, tobacco leaf, and mint into a refined yet thick, tannic finish. Extracted, new-world style, but it's concentration and balance was exceptional. Drink 2020+ Tecnical score: 93. Enjoyment score: 92.
