Friday, December 17, 2021 - Third bottle from a case bought en primeur. Lovely deep Margaux nose of sweet blackcurrant and violets, now joined by more secondary leather and anise. There's plenty of fruit and a very long finish. Tannins are slowly subsiding and still very evident. Empty glass smells of cedar. Drinking well now and will continue to improve. Depending on your taste drink now or in 5 years when the tannins have softened fully or in 50 years like the good 1970s are now. This is a wine that will age beautifully.
