Friday, July 10, 2015 - [Redacted]; 7/10/2015-7/11/2015: Extremely dark coloured -- almost opaque. Caramel and cooked citrus, this seemed very ripe and full-bodied for a malmsey. Not the most complex or distinctive, this was clearly well-made and had the benefit of a fair bit of age to give it loads of concentration and power (and although I might be wrong, I think this one is actually a solera and not a vintage madeira).
