Tuesday, May 12, 2015 - One + hour decant. If tasted blind, I would have guessed it was a St. Julien. Either a Leoville-Las Cases or perhaps a Ducru-Beaucaillou . Complex, really lovely nose of rich cherry, leather, spice, licorice and a bit of mint. Lush, seamless, balanced, soft, silky texture with terrific concentration, richness, ripeness and depth. The fruit has aged and is a bit less fresh and vibrant than a few years ago, but that does not make it any less satisfying. Lengthy, fruity, sweet finish. I would be drinking this sooner rather than later as I think the wine has definitely peaked. 94-95
