Wednesday, September 14, 2011 - A brooding deep red in colour, the nose is packed full of dark berries, olive and leather character.

The palate is rich and savoury at the same time with a delicate interplay between ripe blackberry and earthy tannins. It gains momentum as it moves from start to finish and has an underlying saltiness that serves to add texture and contrast.

On the finish there is good length of olive and blackberry fruit.

The Stoney Vineyard represents the same exceptional quality as the Estate wine , with an incredibly good value price tag.
