89 Points

Thursday, October 8, 2015 - The 2010 Chateau Doisy Daene currently carries a rating of 91 points with the CellarTracker community and is rated a whopping 94 points by Wine Spectator. This Barsac wine immediately grabs your attention with its deep golden color...much deeper than I expected. The wine has a medium plus body, characteristic sweetness, and a little acidity. However, I did feel this wine was a bit cloying, hence my 89 rating, but this puts me off center with the prevailing sentiments in the CT community. It is worth noting that I served this wine slightly under chilled, so the warmer glass may have done more to accentuate the sugars. None-the-less, this a great wine and it is reasonably priced by comparison to its peer group. This Barsac has remained stable at about $50, while I have seen others significantly increase over time. The Chateau Doisy Daene will definitely have a repeat appearance in my cellar.
