Wednesday, January 22, 2014 - Tasted in double-blind fashion, this opaque crimson wine (a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Malbec and Petit Verdot) screams Alexander Valley fruit. Perfectly ripe, it flaunts aromas and flavors of black cherries, tree bark, dried cranberries, chocolate and coriander. Full-bodied and supple on the palate, it has a backbone of low-to-medium acidity and ample fine-grained tannins. The alcohol (listed as 14.4%) is seamless and the middle palate is solid. Long and silky on the finish, this is nothing short of hedonism! Enjoy it over the next decade. Drink now-2024.
