Sunday, August 28, 2016 - Medium pale golden color. Expressive and slightly aged notes of vegetables, citrus, ripe apple and pear, abricot, some smoke and a touch of minerality, as well as some earthy/mushroom kind of quality. There are also some aging notes of hazelnuts, marzipan and honey developping. It's medium-full bodied, dense with great mid-palate density, creamy mousse of small bubbles, pretty high acidity providing beautiful freshness. Excellent length. A fantastic perfectly mature Blanc de Blancs from this amazing producer. Love the combination of richness and tension.
