Saturday, June 8, 2013 - A private lunch (Restaurant De Lindenhof **, Giethoorn, Netherlands): Smoky, minerally nose, lovely depth, hint of petrol, subtle fruit and floral aromas, quite a Germanic style; on the palate layered and fine-boned, all about elegance and finesse, relatively light weight, ripe acidity, not the ultimate cut, on the soft side even for a Clos Ste Hune; very good length. Fully mature, drink up. Far more developed than expected, bottle variation?
