Sunday, October 17, 2021 - For me, Vaudésir is usually the "not" Chablis Grand Cru-not as powerful as Valmur, not as complex as Les Preuses, and not as complete as Les Clos. So it is with this Louis Michel wine, yet it is still brilliant. Medium yellow. Musky citrus and oyster shell aromas. Medium body but a glorious, silky feel. Extraordinary balance of ripe citrus, perfect acidity, soil, and a pleasing touch of citrus zest bitterness. Mea culpa for my prejudices; this was a totally winning wine.
