Friday, March 6, 2020 - I have become more and more sceptical to the wines from this domaine, they seem just too dry and tart and does not seem to evolve at all. This one may make me adjust my opoinion slightly. Very young colour. almost greenish. Classic nose dominated by chalk, oysters, some etheric oils (shellack?), but also green apples, some peach and a hint of candied fruit. Medium bodied in the first attack in the mouth, then the wine expands to the finish and aftertaste. While the mid palate is dominated by citrus and tart apples, the finish is dominared by peach, vanilla (?), dried green fruits. The aftertaste is so mineral it almost hurts; chalk, oysters, salt water. Long, extremely fresh with an almost tannic tone. This is not a wine for the novice, and it still seems too young. I am a bit unsure where this wine is going; will the tartness dominate more, or will the fruit emerge more clearly? For those in the position to do so; keep for five more years before the next bottle.
