Saturday, November 19, 2011 - This bottle (the last of three purchased in 2004) was in perfect condition. It is drinking beautifully and at peak now but unlikely to improve further. Medium density with good clarity, garnet core, and some browning at the edge. Decanted for 30 minutes before serving.
Expressive mature nose with nuanced tones of tobacco, leather, plum, garrigue, and a touch of funk. Round, smooth, solid, and generous in the mouth with long lasting flavors matching the nose. Nice acidity with soft tannins lurking in the background. Very nice but not in the same class as our 98 Pegau.
