This bottle (the last of three purchased in 2004) was in perfect condition. It is drinking beautifully and at peak now but unlikely to improve further. Medium density with good clarity, garnet core, and some browning at the edge. Decanted for 30 minutes before serving. Expressive mature nose with nuanced tones of tobacco, leather, plum, garrigue, and a touch of funk. Round, smooth, solid, and generous in the mouth with long lasting flavors matching the nose. Nice acidity with soft tannins lurking in the background. Very nice but not in the same class as our 98 Pegau.

On the nose, leather, olive, spicy wood wrapped in a sweet perfume that's developing some secondary character. More of the same on a balanced and largely resolved palate. Just a faint hint of tannins...very faint. I've got limited experience with "age appropriate" CdP, but this strikes me as though it's drinking at or near its peak.

Clear light red. Nice berry fruit nose mixed with herbs, earth and some poop. Delicious earthy berry flavours and a good but fading finish.

Just a little darker then a burg. Nice earthy plum nose with pepper and mineral. Soft plum flavours and finish.
