Saturday, November 6, 2021 - deepish red purple, still young color on the rim, nose of cassis and aged oak spice, a bit of forest floor, calming, on the palate a joyous ripe core of cherry fruit, cassis, remains of a fair amount of oak that has integrated quite well, forest floor, and wonderfully along with these tertiary developments the fruit itself has remained beautifully fresh and vibrant, a perfect companion to the superb 1988 Magdelaine tonight- and indeed its equal at the very least.
