Thursday, December 12, 2019 - Was 1st place in the Barolo/Barbaresco Tasting. It won by a large margin from the panel beating out a '96 Gaja, an '01 Pio Cesare, and an '07 Domenico. This was a big, but pleasant surprise. There was a nice mix of leather, cherry, anise, and nutmeg on the nose. Had a great acid lift on the front with loads of fruit throughout and a typical, soft tannin finish that was long and balanced.
