Thursday, November 23, 2017 - It has long been a tradition to broach a White Rose on Thanksgiving and this time the 2009 vintage was up for grabs. First time with the White Rose Vineyard in over 5 years. I am pleased to report that, contrary to a previous CT note, this is far from being past its drink-by date. Far from it. Clear pale garnet in the glass with a hint of brick; oh the aroma is so wonderful on opening, fragrant and effusive, floral notes, that Burgundian wildness; rich tart red cherries, hints of clove and other spice, quite tart, jammy. So, yes, by all means drink, but you don't have to panic.
