Thursday, February 23, 2012 - The nose showed rich raspberry with a hint of vanilla, mint, green stems and slate dust. It was smooth at first, with a savory presence on the palate, showing saline minerals with blue fruit and black licorice yet with time it closed in on itself as tannins mounted through the finish with hints dried blueberry. This wine was beautiful but needs more time in the cellar.
