Sunday, March 4, 2012 - Deep violet. Characteristic earthy merlot nose with some dark fruits lurking underneath. Starts with a hit of black fruits and then develops a sharp spicy note in the mid-palate. Finishes with earth and soil. Fairly soft tannins. Ready to drink but should develop a bit more in the near term.
