Wednesday, January 18, 2023 - Coravin fun - Ch. de Beaucastel (My place, Kent Street): From Coravin and half bottle. Quite spicy, meaty, peppery over ripe (and almost resinous) baked red fruits, a touch of alcohol prickle, garrigue, liquorice, equally concentrated fruit on the palate is decidedly clumsy for me in this line up (not something I would have though would have occurred) tannins, woody had drying, fruit doesn't quite persist.

2/7/2023 4:25:00 AM - I concur - it may have been the company of the Beaucastel's that made this show so badly...I've had the 15 and 16 a few times and they both showed considerably better than this vintage...

    cheers
