Friday, June 2, 2023 - Heady nose of mulberries, ripe blackberries, garrigue and spice box. Supple-textured, this is rich and full and loaded with super ripe black fruits, tons of sweet (but not overripe) fruit, licorice (?), prunes, white pepper, rosemary, thyme and spices. This comes across as still unformed and holding back. Quite nice now with enough time in decanter, but I won't touch another bottle until it's at least 18. Not sure I'd call it elegant, but it is seamless and refined for CdP. Drink 2026-2035 95

6+ hours in decanter: Kirsch liquor and some stony minerals.
