Friday, January 25, 2013 - Black fruits and green olives on opening, this took hours to even begin to open up, by which point it was already drunk up and we were moving on the next bottle. Beautiful, silky structure with fine tannins, I can see this going for quite a while, but there was a porty, confit aspect to the fruit, probably normal for a southern wine from a hot year, that just wasn't really my style.
