Saturday, January 18, 2014 - I wanted to try one of these to see if I should buy a case as I did with 2007. So lets find out.

Opened at 11.30 am to consume tonight . Initial impressions are amazing nose of sweet fruit and light spice. Bright amber color that is transparent when swirled with nice legs. Medium body with smooth mouth sweet fruit and not to heavy. Moderate balanced acidity with fine tannins that are hiding behind the fruit. The finish is balanced and so smooth it goes on and on.
Dinner at 7.30 pm. The wine opened up and became slightly more complex but the profile remained the same. Amazing young CDP that is drinking as well if not better young than the 2007. I can't believe how fine the tannins are and how great this shows at this point. Balanced and Beautiful. Going to buy a case soon.
