Tuesday, April 7, 2020 - Bloody water crimson color. Shaved wood, mixed berries, and strong alcohol on the nose. It needs a solid hour to open up and blow off a distracting funk. Musty red berry mash up front transforming to a graphite, plum skin, vanillin, and black cherry finish that lasts a long time and is very tasty. I think I remember not liking this wine in previous bottles, so it may be hitting a sweet spot, developmentally.
