Sunday, April 30, 2023 - Purchased on Heritage Auctions. Dark ruby color. After 1 hour of slox oxidation this showed dark cherries, game meat, sweet spice. Medium acidity, well-integrated tannins, polished black currants and cherries, spice, some leathery notes and forest floor, some faint leathery notes as this starts to develop some tertiary notes. The ending is long and well-balanced by some oak that does not overpower but gives it elegance. A great wine in a great drinking window now. Drink in the next 4-5 years.
