Friday, May 1, 2020 - Mid yellow. Distinct yellow apple and orchard fruit with a mineral flint element on the first nose - then puff pastry, white peach, hints of butter, tart tatin, lemon cream and sea spray. The palate adds a fabulous rapier-like line of acidity that threads its way through what is a fleshy mid-palate. There is real depth to the mid-palate, an outstanding balance of vibrant ripe fruits against the incisive acidity and the finish chases minerals and more saline moments. I think it may repay even further cellaring. Smart wine from a top vintage.
