Monday, September 4, 2023 - Was worried it was past its prime but this bottle was very good from beginning to end. Poured a small glass and it had beautiful floral notes and full mouth yet nice soft tannins. Let it sit for 2 hrs but did not decant as didn't think it was necessary. I'd call it medium to full bodied which surprised me as I thought by now it would be thinner and weaker. A lot of blackcurrant and spice but an earthy leathery vibe evolved and lingered into a fairly long finish. We enjoyed this just before dinner and during while eating cowboy steaks and grilled salmon. It was a great bottle and wish i had more.
