Monday, March 19, 2012 - This bottle of Selosse VO was excellent. What a wonderful champagne. This bottle had wonderful freshness, minerality, spices, and clear fruit flavors. I almost got the sense that this is what a Blanc de Blanc version of a mature Krug Grand Cuvee would taste like. This had flavors of honey, caramel, ripe peaches, pear, pineapple, strawberries, red apples, nutty citrus, nutmeg, vanilla, light oak influence, flint, and wet rocks. It all adds up to an excellent bottle of blanc de blanc that is very powerful but fresh at the same time. This is worth the price of admission for sure. No need to cellar this any longer as it is already drinking so well. I am very glad I have another bottle.
