Monday, June 6, 2016 - Disgorged in January 2015. Lovely Champagne, dry and vibrant with its usual "Selosse" oxydative style. Nuts, bread, butter. Very fine bubbles, good length. A perfect introduction to Selosse wines, way more interesting to my palate than the Initiale. Kudos to Anselme Selosse for achieving such a complex and balanced wine in an entrey-level range.

It's like calling a Porsche Cayman an entry level car. You're driving the 918 Spyder and I'm used to driving a Megane RS. Both are wonderful, but the perspective is different. There is pretty nice grower's champagne around for under €30 even €20. Other growers' special cuvées are in this 50-70 eur league, Ulysse Colin for instance. Doesn't matter really, I still buy Selosse at the current price point.
