Sunday, December 27, 2015 - Auction purchase with unknown provenance. High shoulder fill. Cork loose and fully saturated, removed in pieces. Sadly this was completely maderized. But that didn't stop the non-oenophiles at the party from drinking the entire bottle, when we told them how rare and expensive it was.

1/27/2016 3:55:00 AM - I purchased it from a high-volume eBay wine seller in Southern California. I have bought many good bottles and a few bad bottles from him. Buying old wine with unknown provenance is always a gamble. I fault the cellar not the seller.

2/6/2016 8:45:00 PM - OK- thanks for the info. I saw a bunch for sale as reoffers from a December auction, and I wanted to check it wasn't the same batch.
