Still relatively youthful, showing only some development (positive). A relatively large-scaled Burg (right for a Gevrey 1er) with tremendous spiciness (almost a cayenne heat, but not at all from alcohol). Robust fruit and still good structure. A bit of lovely game meat. Some earth, but this is more of a "clean" wine. Nits to pick? Could use a bit more midpalate weight, and could be a touch more refined. But when wine is this enjoyable, who cares?
