90 Points

Saturday, February 2, 2013 - After I had one glass at a hotel bar I made it to order some bottles with good memory. This is a decent cuvee blend and finally something different than what you typically know from German makers. It´s a great idea from Markus to cooperate with a South-African winery complementing common grapes by Pinotage.. a African resident!
This very dark wine already lost it´s youth and begins to matt by the glass.
The full nose (clearly dark berries and cacao) was creating bigger expectation of a taste which actually didn´t arrive as fully on my palate. But again I found the dark fruits, cassis and present tannin which overall came more elegantly on day 2.
Anyway worth the price though and I´ll probably last the rest of my bottles in the cellar for another 2 years at least. Pretty sure it will score UP over 90 then.
