  • Very good wine, you can drink it immediately, or keep it for 2-3 years.
The wine looks Ruby colored. It tastes like Raspberry, Black currant (cassis), and Strawberry Jam. The body is Medium. The wine has Juicy texture. The wine finishes Long. Round, easy drinking Wine

  • After I had one glass at a hotel bar I made it to order some bottles with good memory. This is a decent cuvee blend and finally something different than what you typically know from German makers. It´s a great idea from Markus to cooperate with a South-African winery complementing common grapes by Pinotage.. a African resident!
This very dark wine already lost it´s youth and begins to matt by the glass.
The full nose (clearly dark berries and cacao) was creating bigger expectation of a taste which actually didn´t arrive as fully on my palate. But again I found the dark fruits, cassis and present tannin which overall came more elegantly on day 2.
Anyway worth the price though and I´ll probably last the rest of my bottles in the cellar for another 2 years at least. Pretty sure it will score UP over 90 then.

  • Drank on New Year's Eve Dinner at our Mountain Cabin with meat fondue.
Again nice mouthfeeling, round, polished tannins, straightforward, a bit spicy. Easy drinking wine...

  • Drank after a couple of young 2011 GG Riesling bottles....
Still easy drinking wine, but feels a bit more complex, nice and round on the palate, spicy, good length

  • typical cape blend - with notes from the pinotage.
Round, smooth, already ripe, but no edges, mid length, a little bid boring...
a typical M. Schneider wine, but still an acceptable QPR.
    South Africa for beginners...
