Tuesday, May 15, 2012 - Intense dark purple color. Slightly muted nose with earth tones and hints of blackberry and spice. Big, full body entry bursting with creme de casis, blackberry jam, clove and spice. Long finish with slightly bitter black current, dark chocolate and clove. Overall, solid balance of fruit, acids and firm tannins. This wine is young but showing well and should be singing in a couple of years with good cellaring potential. Outstanding QPR if you can find it for less than $40.
