Monday, September 8, 2014 - Loved this bottle. When first opened, strong blackberry and brown sugar aromas burst forth. Decanted 2 hours and the nose calmed down a bit, but still smelled great. Dark, inky purple color and rim. Taste delivered what the nose promised. Fruit forward, but sufficient tanins and acidity to maintain balance. Medium finish. Served with beef kabobs and corn on the cobs. Wife finished the bottle when my back was turned; had a 3rd glass (which she NEVER does). Ready to drink now.
