Saturday, January 27, 2024 - Last of 4 bottles acquired shortly after release. Decanted a hour before tasting at cellar temperature over several hours. 14% Labeled ABV. Wonderfully balanced wine. Bright medium golden yellow. Nose has roasted nuts, cream, orchard fruit, wet stones and citrus. Palate has nice texture with bright acidity. The cream and butter notes ebb and flow over time with varying degrees of emphasis. In the end more orchard fruit than citrus with an undertone of minerals. Extremely long with great depth. Finish has some herbal, ginger and floral notes that make this fresh to the last drop. At or slightly after peak but certainly not in serious decline if cellared well. Really beautiful with a goat cheese, olive and sun-dried tomato tapenade.
