Wednesday, February 20, 2013 - Some Marc de Grazia Barolos and Brunellos: Nose: This shows off fairly well right off the bat with deep tones of dark red cherries, licorice, dark red fruits, spice tones, and some roasted herbs as well with a touch of oak on it as well.

Taste: Medium/full bodied with medium/high acidity and very chewy tannins. The structure is on the punishing side right now, but there are robust tones of dark red cherries, licorice, roasted herbs, wild spices, and some oak lying underneath the big structure right now.

Overall: This will certainly need to lay down. The structure is imposing though the nose is relatively open. There is excellent depth on both the nose and palate with the underlying materials showing a very impressive wine that can emerge with time.
