Saturday, June 2, 2012 - Drank alongside beef Tenderloin in a house demi-Glace and wine sauce.
Color: Textbook young burgundy (pale ruby)
Nose: Surprisingly perfumed for a $19 Burg. Sweet cherry, red fruits, dust and new leather
Palate: Quite good and even better on day 2. It really needs a serious decanting. This generic burg opens up with sweet cherry and red fruits then in the midpalate some minerality as well as earth and new leather. The finale gives us a splash of fine and delicate tannins intertwined with burgs minerality. A bit linear and light but it is difficult to complain given the price !
Absolute Great wine for the price. Will buy again !

I will not hold this for the long run. It think with a 2 hours decanting this is good as it is right now or for the next 2-3years
Voilà !
