Sunday, September 28, 2014 - Decanted. A Pretty, fruit forward nose with cherry, vanilla, and hints of cinnamon and brown spice. The pallet is medium bodied, with traces of black fruit up front, and black spice, anise, and black pepper dominating the mid pallet. The finish is respectable. Compared to the nose there was surprisingly little fruit.

There is still a tannic backbone but I get a sense that this wine will not progress much further. Very enjoyable for maybe another year.
