Sunday, May 24, 2020 - Lapierre traditionally trades at a premium, and I admit I have often passed in favor of better "values" in cru beaujolais. This bottle suggests that has been a mistake, as it is lovely. Youthful color, nice cherry and herb flavor, zippy acidity and a long finish. This comes off as elegant but is distinctively gamay. Really nice.
