Wednesday, March 13, 2024 - Grumpy bottle; normally these are in their prime drinking window at 14 years. Distinctly reduced (sulfide) aromas on opening, partially dissipates over 2 hours but not completely. A sharp tannic edge partially obscures the fruit which seems a bit more primary than expected, also uncharacteristic for this wine at this age. Not overtly damaged but wondering if my bottles from this year are off.
