Sunday, October 1, 2017 - Popped and poured off a taste around 1pm to follow through dinner. Notes 7 hours later. Dusty ruby color, slight brick in the hue, about 80% opaque with clear legs and no sediment. Profound aromas of currant, lavender, blueberry, and nicely-integrated oak. Fully resolved tannins and a pleasing texture with a very long finish. Perfect for tonight’s NY strips and I’m glad I checked in on this because it let me know that my magnum will be drinking well for several more years. 5+12+17+8 = 92
