Second night returned to the bottle and WOW! a completely different -- and better -- experience. Wine had a gorgeous and completely distinctive burned caramel nose...the concord grape had transformed into a lovely burned dark sugar smell. Fruits still in there but much less forward. Distinctively delicious. The tannins were also much more integrated. Definitely understanding the Occhippinti buzz now...
