Monday, February 16, 2015 - No TNs on this wine in CT? I guess that speaks to the rarity of this wine. I have not seen a Mondavi Pinot Reserve bottling since I first began collecting wine in the mid '90s (not that I've really looked, though). This was great. Sexy nose, not over-oaked but shows some oak spice notes. Dark palate (especially compared with the '98 Guillemot Savigny 1er Serpentieres that I brought), dark mulled plums, spices, nicely balanced, the oak has integrated well, really quite good and well preserved. Stephen V. brought this to Racines and declared all wines to be "in harmony".
