Saturday, October 28, 2023 - Out of the bottle bright red all the way to the edge, nose initially somewhat closed with generally primary odors of strawberry, plus, violet, rose. Balanced palate, tannins well integrated, and perhaps shows its age a bit through the lack of overt fruit (though perhaps the slightest hint of dark cherry).

After an hour in the decanter this has really opened up! The palate shows the age more - hint of fruit, but a savory port-like meld of flavors and spice emerges. So smooth on the tongue: that almost glycerine-like silkiness I often associate with Pomerol is definitely there. Nice finish and very drinkable.

Delicious.
