Thursday, May 10, 2012 - Tasted at the winery. (0.5% RS, 7.4 g/l acidity). Light yellow-green. Big, but focused on the nose: stone, minerals, lime, then some tropical notes: banana. Quite austere on the palate: lots of stone, mineral and peach pits. Sleek and racy, but a touch bitter on the end palate and the finish is a touch harsh. Maybe this is just young and young with lots of extract, but it seems to me slightly out of balance. Pretty good, but not up to the quality of the fabulous 09's.
