Friday, November 10, 2017 - At Villa Maria tasting room Auckland. Deep and dark, rich nose of overripe black plum, earth, coffee bean, compost, aniseed. Palate very similar with present, grippy tannins, still acidity in fruit. A bit overpowering and not fully integrated. Would be interested to see with another 5 years on it to see if it softens.
