Wednesday, September 18, 2013 - Dark gold but still relatively light in color considering the age. Perfectly in balance with little apparent sweetness given the still strong acidity, everything was where it should be with the exception of a bit of mustiness on the palate which prevented this from being a truly great bottle. Certainly not corked and it wasn't enough to ruin the wine but definitely a minor flaw. Drank alongside a 2003 spatlese from the same vineyard which was still very primary, a very interesting comparison and a tribute to the virtues of aging these wines. Worth a shot if you come across a bottle.
