Friday, June 16, 2023 - Once it breathed very impressive nose of dark fruits violets perhaps some licorice notes and a touch of mint. Explosion of blackberries and blackcurrants in the mouth with refined tannin and little oak left. There is great length driven by a good amount of acidity with small follow-up waves of that glorious fruit. Missing the tannin structure of a first growth but surely Australia's best value Coonawarra. Great condition under screw cap. Years of good life yet.
